Windermere House

This famous Muskoka resort hotel faced its 139th season with declining sales and a faded image. Paul Jeffery, founder of KelseyÍs and MontanaÍs restaurant chains, bought the hotel and immediately required an agency with quick response and a thorough understanding of the hospitality segment in CanadaÍs preeminent vacation area. With barely 6 weeks before the resortÍs re-launch, Exclusive GroupÍs team developed a highly integrated approach, creating a new brand, compelling ads for internet and print executions with attendant media planning, online customer survey, new website, public relations, brochures, promotions, etc.

All deadlines were met, occupancy and dining business increased substantially and the re-opening season was dubbed a critical success.

The Real Muskoka Experience

With lagging sales, inefficient branding and disconnected offerings, this tourism and recreation player required fresh insights from experienced marketers who could develop clarity. Exclusive Group created a dynamic brand strategy by bringing the disparate market offerings together under one new brand, and then developed new corporate identity, bold advertising, new website, brochures etc. for re-launch. The result: an immediate 14% sales increase and marketing budget efficiency gained by focusing media on one product.

Muskoka Lakes Association

Exclusive Group provides this cottagersÍ affinity group with communications strategy and creative execution. Our President Tim Spence oversaw development of the MLAÍs website, brochures and advertising. Our recent production of Taking Action, an advertorial insert, reached approximately 40,000 recipients, supporting the AssociationÍs centres of influence, promoting awareness and encouraging incremental membership.
