Challenge:
The City of Saskatoon received a massive influx of urban economic development funds from both the federal government and neighboring First Nations' pension fund investors [who owned major land titles in the downtown region] to redevelop the city's downtown business district and adjacent riverside embankment areas [that were formerly industrial and undeveloped brownfield manufacturing sites]. The real estate and marketing tender call required a real estate provider with a depth of mixed-use, multi-tenant development, neighborhood revitalization and civic marketing and brand repositioning experience.Inspiration:
JJ Barnicke, the national real estate firm, recognized Saskatoon needed an experienced marketing agency to plan and execute a ïrevitalized mid-west destination media spin, as well as a comprehensive marketing package to entice visits from citizens, tenants, and both international and Canadian investors. Claremont Group was engaged to prepare the plan and tactics.Claremont Group had the opportunity to "package and position" the new Saskatoon downtown land project with a full range of creative branding ideas, 2 year campaign flow/activity charts, promotional literature and selling packages for local government and national agents business development purposes.
